Decorative Art
the Naturals
A collection of work created using natural elements. This collection includes birdhouses, lamps, and more that all use natural elements as the motivator for design.
In this series I explore organic shapes as they serve the purpose of housing birds, some utilizing geometric patterns.

Geometric Redux
Apr. 2023
This is a redesign of the geometric birdhouse I created earlier this year. This version is better suited as a bird habitat, with a larger hole and an opening higher from the bottom of the vessel. This birdhouse also hands from a wire rather than mounting directly onto a wall.
Rosy Wolf Snail
Mar. 2023
This model is of a Rosy Wolf Snail. I sculpted the model to work on my skills digitally sculpting, as well as to act on my interest in combining art and science.
Epistrophe
Mar. 2023
Epistrophe is a fully functional lamp that was 3D printed in 13 different pieces that were then joined, sanded, and spray painted to create a finished product.
The name, epistrophe, meaning repetition at the end of sentences, is a conversation with how we as people repeat the same patterns no matter what point we are at in history. We all make gardens, we all doodle, we are all creative, no matter what period of time you are looking at.
Above All Else
Feb. 2023
The idea for this birdhouse actually came from seeing the apartments in the same building above a Publix supermarket.
From there, I thought about how I could provide living quarters and a food source for a bird, and realized that if the planter had something in it that attracted bugs, the bird could then jump down and defend the plant- securing a meal.
Soy Inmaculada
Feb. 2023
Soy Inmaculada is the second piece I made while in ARS 361. It is a cauldron featuring three handles. The inside of the cauldron features an inscription that reads ‘Soy Inmaculada".”
This piece is a metaphor for the relationship I shared with my dad throughout highschool. Two arms are open and available, but if you grab them then something there will stab you, so you adapt. One arm is given, but now it is jagged.
Geometric Birdhouse
Jan. 2023
This is the first birdhouse I designed after getting into 3D design. it features an organic shape with a repeated geometric texture. This birdhouse is simple, sweet, and only takes a day or so to print.
